Judge Stops Trump plan to end DACA

A federal judge in California late Tuesday, January 9, 2018, had temporarily blocked the Trump administration’s plan to end the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program otherwise known as DACA or the Dream Act.

Importantly, the Judge ruled that the administration must resume receiving DACA renewal applications.  The ruling, however is limited, and does not allow new DACA filings.
This is important, albeit, temporary relief to hundreds of thousands of Dreamers who have no been able to renew their applications.   Those who have had their employment authortization expire may now be file for a new employment authorization card.
Please contact Queens Immigration Law – Gladstein & Messinger, PC at 718-793-7800 to talk to our experienced attorneys about filing to renew DACA status.
