IMMIGRATION – CORONAVIRUS UPDATE
US Citizen and Immigration Services (USCIS) has announced that they have re-opened effective 6/4/2020. However, it does not appear that in-person services such as bio-metric appointments, citizenship interviews and green card interviews are taking place (as of 7/6/2020). It does appear that some naturalization oath ceremonies are taking place at this time. As of 7/6/2020 USCIS field offices based at Federal Plaza remain closed for in person services other than limited emergency services.
Immigration Customs Enforcement (ICE) in person check in appointments are also cancelled. Phone check-ins continue.
Immigration Court hearings at the New York City Immigration Courts for non-detained aliens are cancelled through and including 7/24/2020.
